Adie We booked Duarte for a small dinner with friends at a beautiful villa in Funchal. He was great to work with offering initially two different menus to choose from, but also with the option to mix and match or for us to make suggestions. The day of the dinner went very well. Duarte was communicative, punctual and very kind and it turns out had actually cooked for a dinner party at the house once before! Dinner itself was delicious, special and fresh with 4 courses plus some different wines. We had a soup, a starter, a fish dish (grouper fillet with coconut sauce), a meat dish (ossobuco beef stew in Madeira wine) and dessert. If you are looking for a chef to prepare a special meal for you while on holiday in Madeira I highly recommend Duarte!S Westcott Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish… from menu ideas/suggestions and accommodating preferences/dietary requirements to a beautifully presented and delicious meal with great service. Oh…and a clean and tidy kitchen afterwards! Would highly recommend Duarte.
